AARP Smart Driver Course

You never forget how, but it never hurts to refresh your driving skills and knowledge. The award-winning AARP Smart Driver Course, designed especially for drivers age 50 and older, will update your awareness of new road design, traffic laws, and cover how to adjust your driving to compensate for physical changes. This is in-class instruction only.

Shadows and Light

When strolling on the winding paths, especially in the fullness of summer, you become very aware of darkness and light. In the Peace Garden, that concept was incorporated with purpose to remind us that we are walking into the mystery of our redemption.

The Labyrinth Shadows

The Grotto Labyrinth, which is located in the Peace Garden, can act like a canvas on a sunny day. The shadows of the trees surrounding the meditative path are cast onto the bricks in beautiful patterns.

The 2017 Solar Eclipse

On August 21, 2017, the solar eclipse caused the light coming through the leaves of the trees to be cresent shaped. This photo was taken in The Grotto Plaza on that day.
