Shadows-on-the-Teche Civil War Encampment

WHAT: Shadows Civil War Re-enactment
WHERE: Shadows-on-the-Teche, 317 E. Main St., New Iberia
WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 7 and Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015
DETAILS:
The Shadows will host a Civil War Encampment featuring skilled re-enactors who will demonstrate the lifestyle of a soldier during the Civil War. To provide visitors with a living picture of the past, they will demonstrate marching drills, camp life, artillery firing and many other scenarios.
From 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day on Saturday, Nov. 7 and Sunday, Nov. 8, different events will occur throughout the day. The Shadows regular admission rate will apply for both days. The Shadows tour for the weekend, which is included in the admission price, will focus on the Civil War.
By mid-October, visitors can contact the Shadows or visit ShadowsOnTheTeche.org to obtain a schedule of demonstrations and presentations for the weekend.
