The 2020 event will be held on January 21 & 22 at the Turf Valley Conference Center in Ellicott City, MD. Topics include: What's going on with the Oaks? Allegany College - Gear Up Program Winner
In Cumberland, Maryland Allegany College will be awarded $5,000 to put towards the purchase of STIHL equipment. To supplement the new gear, the college will also receive a personalized training session from a STIHL representative.

Cherry Laurel Problems
Cherry laurels are very susceptible to peachtree borer infestations. To control this, mainspring insecticide (systemic), as a soil drench, which will work against clearwing moth borer larvae.

Eastern Shore Pest Management Conference
From 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on February 5th come out to the Foundations Wedding and Conference Center in Salisbury for continuing education credits. Speakers include Dave Clements, Chuck Schuster, and Jackie Takacs to name a few.

Developing a Control Program for Montgomery County
On February 27th at the University of Maryland Shady Grove Campus, professional association will gather to develop a turf grass, insect, disease, and weed control program that will work in Montgomery County.
ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification
The two and a half day course prepares one to take the TRAQ assessment to become qualified. In Gaithersburg, Maryland get qualified on March 10th through 12th. Register by February 7th.

Tree Risk Assessment Renewal 2020
On March 13th come get requalified! You may complete the course 18 months before your expiration date. This event will be in Gaithersburg. Please register by February 11th.

Tree Climbing Championship
The 2020 Tree Climbing Championship will be held April 4th and 5th at Druid Hill Park in Baltimore, Maryland. Registration will open in January.
Maryland Arborist Day
On Saturday, April 18th, come out to Maryland Arborist Day at Cylburn Arboretum in Baltimore City. Keep an eye out for registration in the coming months.
MAC-ISA Annual Meeting
The annual MAC-ISA meeting will be held in Solomons, Maryland October 4th through 6th. Save the date and keep your eyes open for future dates.
Maryland Licensed Tree Expert exams are administered on the second Wednesday of each month at the Department of Natural Resources Headquarters in Annapolis. All tree care professionals practicing in Maryland must obtain a license. Without a license, they may not practice or advertise tree care services in the state. Upcoming exams are January 8th, March 11th, and April 8th.
