CHOKHOR DUCHEN is the "Festival of Turning the Wheel of Dharma," which occurs on the fourth day of the sixth Tibetan lunar month each year. For seven weeks after his enlightenment, Buddha Shakyamuni did not teach. Finally, encouraged by Indra and Brahma, he turned the Wheel of Dharma for the first time at Sarnath by teaching the 'Four Noble Truths.'

We will practice the Liturgy of the Buddha, called Treasury of Blessings, by Mipham Jamyang Gyats0. Texts may be purchased through Vimala Treasures. Click the image, above, for more info.
