Mazel Tov to Brendan Miller

Mazel Tov to Brendan Miller, son of members Ellen and Joshua Miller, who has been selected to swim on behalf of Team USA in the 2025 Maccabiah Games in Israel this summer!

A fourth-generation congregant and 2024 graduate of the NSJC Jewish Learning Center, Brendan has been dedicated to swimming from a young age. He began his competitive career at just seven years old with the Three Village Swim Club, and today, he is ranked among the top 50 swimmers nationally in his age group by USA Swimming.

Brendan’s athletic journey is deeply intertwined with his Jewish identity. He proudly represented Long Island in the JCC Maccabi Games in both 2023 and 2024.

The Maccabiah Games, often referred to as the "Jewish Olympics," is the world’s second-largest sporting event. It brings together over 10,000 athletes from more than 80 countries to compete in 42 sports. This year, Brendan will participate in the 22nd Maccabiah Games in Israel, where he will train, compete, and take part in Israel Connect—a cultural immersion program that includes visits to historical and cultural sites, Jewish identity seminars, and volunteer activities designed to strengthen Jewish pride and awareness. The experience will also offer Brendan the opportunity to build lasting connections with Jewish athletes from around the world.

Brendan will be sharing his experiences as a Jewish athlete, JCC Maccabi alumnus, and Maccabiah Games delegate at the NSJC Men’s Club Annual Worldwide Wrap on March 2nd. We invite you to hear him speak about his journey and what this incredible opportunity means to him.

To support Brendan on this exciting journey, please visit his fundraising page here: Brendan Miller's Maccabiah Fundraising Page. Every donation will help cover the costs of his participation and provide additional support to the Maccabi USA delegation.

We are proud to see a member of our NSJC family representing our Jewish community at the 22nd Maccabiah Games!
