NSJC Food Pantry Update

Congratulations to our congregation… we’ve fulfilled another mitzvah!

The food in our pantry has been distributed to two agencies that will make sure that many more people in our surrounding area will be able to celebrate with food on their table this Thanksgiving. The women and children of the area’s women’s shelters will be able to have a full feast including some tasty extras this holiday. Also, thanks to Rabbi Benson, the people who run the soup kitchen that is housed at St. James in Setauket will be preparing dinners and providing packaged food to more than 75 people who suffer from food insecurity.

Please remember that our pantry remains to function, even if our shelves become bear for a while. I am asking you to continue to keep our pantry going by purchasing JUST ONE MORE THING when you are shopping at the supermarket.

Todah rabah!
