The "natural disasters are labeled 'acts of God' and, I guess, that's as good a definition as any. Our planet spins around the sun at an amazing speed. Its land masses that float around subsurface of the globe, occasionally interacting and causing earthquakes...
"God doesn't send down messages to the planet telling it to quake. So an earthquake is not really an act of God. But all those natural disasters are the result of the way the planet is put together and they actually make life on earth possible.. Underwater volcanoes, for example, are still creating new islands and the lava from land-based volanoes creates, after a while, rich soil..
"But much of the devastation of natural disasters is due not to God but to human sin There are about four million refugees living in the area destroyed by the earthquakes. They were driven from their homes by war and violence.
"The warming of the earth cannot be ascribed to an act of God. Much of it is an unfortunate aspect of civilized life, which has required the burning of fossil fuels to create energy. But now we know about climate change and we still are unwilling to make even small sacrifices to mitigate its results.. Our answer to refugees seeking safety in our own country has been to erect walls and call them vermin.
"I'm willing to blame God for earthquakes. I'm not willling to blame God for inhumanity."

Are you concerned about AI centers? Salem UCC, Verona, offers thsse thoughts:
"The UCC’s Environmental Justice Ministries and Media Justice Ministry have joined together to study AI data centers and their impact on our local communities. The study circle is seeking input from UCC members and clergy working on this issue in their home communities.
"The group says the research it’s conducted has yielded some concerning trends within the AI industry. The study circle has gathered articles and webinars about power mapping the industry, encouraging it to ask questions like “Who is benefiting from this data center?” and “How are these deals being implemented at the local level?” The group found that, in some cases, the AI industry is making backroom deals with local leaders who sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) that forbid them from discussing the details.
"The group also found growing concerns about the power requirements of these data centers, which require new fossil-fuel power and draw energy from local power grids. Similarly, data centers can consume more water than they return and often introduce pollutants into the water in the form of debris and additives. Noise pollution is also a factor since they can emanate a constant humming sound 24/7, which affects local neighbors and wildlife.
