Shang's Tea Fields

Fellow Tea Lover,

Welcome to the new year! This is a great time to reflect on the past year and also to look forward to next year. In the past year we had a great time meeting new faces, just starting to explore the world of whole leaf tea, and also catching up with old friends, for whom we have a deep appreciation. We continued to bring you the highest quality whole leaf tea that we know how to produce and also introduced a few new products (tea seed oil, white tea soap, a special holiday tea). Lastly, we continued to provide you with new tea videos, articles, and information to help you expand your knowledge and understanding of the magnificent tea plant.

We resolve to continually improve by bringing you even higher quality tea and teaware and more interesting tidbits about tea and tea culture. Please let us know anyway we can improve!

Speaking of resolutions, tea is a great way to fulfill almost any resolution. If you promised that you would spend more time with family and friends, what better way than over a cup of tea? And if you promised yourself that you would relax more, then make yourself a pot of tea and watch the tea leaves as they dance in the pot!

And, if you promised yourself you would cut back on the junk food and sugary sweets, then continue reading to learn about our healthy and delicious sweet leaf tea that will fulfill your sweet tooth in a healthy way, without the calories or blood sugar spike that  you get from candy and sweets.

Here is the news for January...
Cure Your Sugar Cravings Naturally!

Sweet Leaf TeaIf you resolved to cut down on the sweets and junk food, or if you just like to sweeten your tea, then you have to give our Sweet Leaf Tea a try! Chinese Sweet Leaf Tea comes from the Chinese Blackberry plant called Rubus Suavissimus.

These leaves produce a natural sweetner called Rubososide. With a chemical composition similar to glucose, studies show that this sweetner is low glycemic and much sweeter than sucrose! In addition, the leaves also contain a number of beneficial compounds such as ellagic acid and rutin (antioxidants, anti-inflammatory).

In addition, this herbal tea is caffeine free and contains no calories, so it is great for those with caffeine sensitivities or those who like to drink a cup of tea before bed.

The Sweet Leaf Tea can be brewed by itself or the leaves can be added to another tea to give it a delicious natural sweetness! Typically only 1 teaspoon is needed per cup of tea and those leaves can be brewed 5-6 times to make 5-6 total cups! Check out the tea here and check out the coupon below for a 10% discount in the month of January!

High Mountain Green Tea (Premium)

High Mountain Green Tea Leaves

Like sunlight sparkling through leaves, refreshing bright clear green cup with strong flavor and crisp finish. This tea was grown in the misty billows of our 2700ft high mountaintop teafield, the rarest type of green tea plant. The very small and tender leaves create a sweet and very "green" flavor. Compared to most green teas, Our High Mountain Green Tea is slightly sweeter and milder.

Golden Needle King

Golden Needle King Leaves

Shimmering golden buds create a crisp and robust red tea made from fermented white tea buds and young leaves. Most red tea and black teas are derived from the green tea variety bush; this tea is derived from a white tea plant achieving a smoother touch. Our golden needle is grown on Tai Mu Mountain. A unique and new tea, Golden Needle is so named for its long narrow golden tipped leaves. Golden Needle is a rich full-bodied red tea with a rose-flavored finish.

Tangerine Blossom Red Tea

Tangerine Blossom Red Tea Leaves

Made from fermented white tea leaves and tangy tangerine blossoms added towards the end of the fermentation process. A pleasant, citrus flavor complements the deeper nutty Red Tea base.
