Spreading Holiday Cheer: Stockings for Soldiers

It’s that time of year again! Shannon Construction is proud to continue our participation in the annual “Stockings for Soldiers” drive, supporting American military personnel deployed around the world who won’t be home for Christmas.

Thanks to the generosity of our team, we’ve already filled over 100 stockings with thoughtful items, snacks, and notes of appreciation. These stockings will be sent to men, women, and K-9 units serving overseas, bringing a little comfort and cheer during the holiday season.

This initiative is especially meaningful thanks to Joyce Steinhart, who leads the charge every year. She organizes the drive from start to finish, gathers and delivers donations, and ensures every stocking is packed with genuine care. Joyce shared, “It’s inspiring to see how everyone comes together for such a meaningful cause. Each stocking is more than just a gift. It’s a reminder to our soldiers that they’re remembered, supported, and appreciated.”

We also want to recognize Cecelia Kruly and Kim Perla for helping stuff the stockings and supporting the effort. Together with Joyce, their teamwork and spirit of giving truly embody what this season is all about.
