VASSP is in receipt of a memo from VDOE requesting middle and high school principals and assistant principals to be engaged in the Governor's mandated statewide listening tour.

In accordance with Executive Order 4, Superintendent of Public Instruction Jenna Conway and Secretary of Education Dr. Jeffery Smith have been traveling across the commonwealth—visiting schools, community hubs, and early childhood sites—to hear directly from stakeholders about what’s working in our public schools and where there are opportunities for improvement.

In addition to the in-person sessions, several virtual options have been added. VASSP especially wants to flag an upcoming session for principals taking place on Monday, April 6 at 5:00 PM.

This is a valuable opportunity for middle level and high school principals and assistant principals to provide input directly to state leadership and help shape future priorities.
