The Blanton Museum of Art is currently recruiting new Volunteer Gallery

Teachers (docents) to join a cohort of talented educators. We are

looking for volunteers to lead guided visits in the galleries for K-12

students and adult groups beginning this fall. We are hopeful that you

have folks in your networks who might be interested in applying (many

of our current Gallery Teachers are retired arts educators).

The application is now live on our website. Applications are due by

Friday, July 17, 2026. Selections will be made in late July / early

August, and New Gallery Teachers will train in August to start teaching

in the fall semester. We ask all Gallery Teachers to commit to a

minimum of 2 years of service.

Our multigenerational group of volunteers bring a diverse set of

professional backgrounds, but share a passion for learning through art.

Spanish-speaking candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
