The Reading Road

 On May 19^th, The NYFC Youth Advisory Board, sponsored by Tuck's R.U.S.H. for Literacy, will invite children in foster care to The Reading Road: a day of stories, games and crafts and you can help!  Throughout the morning, children will travel from station to station, overcoming obstacles, exploring new possibilities and cultivating a love for reading.  The event and its activities will be based on Dr. Seuss's Oh the Places You'll Go to demonstrate that reading is both fun and essential for a bright future.

With your help, we can provide every child in attendance with a copy of Oh the Places You'll Go and a backpack filled with a comforting stuffed animal and warm blanket.  Generous donors have already purchased 50 pop-up books, and we only need a few more donations of blankets, stuffed animals, and backpacks to reach our goal.  You can purchase these items for a child in foster care by clicking the link below:
