Veterans Day Parade returns next week

The City of Sierra Vista is thrilled to host our annual Veterans Day Parade once again this year!

The City of Sierra Vista’s 26th Annual Veterans Day Parade will start heading down Fry Boulevard at 9 a.m., beginning at 7th Street and ending at Veterans Memorial Park, on Thursday, Nov. 11. A short ceremony will follow in the park. Come out to support our veterans!

Remember that Fry Boulevard will be closed from 7th Street to Avenida Escuela from about 8:45 to 11 a.m. that day. Wilcox Drive will be closed from 7th Street to Lenzner Avenue for parade staging starting at 7 a.m. In addition, no through traffic from Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway to Fry Boulevard via Veterans Memorial Park will be allowed from 9 to 11 a.m.

All City facilities will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 11, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. The Thursday, Nov. 11, trash collection will shift to Wednesday, Nov. 10. No special pickups will be available on Wednesday. There is no change to the Friday trash pickup schedule.
