Dear Friends,

March was an incredibly exciting month for us at Goodman JFS, filled with impactful events and significant achievements. We hosted our Breaking the Silence, Building Resilience fundraiser, where, thanks to your generosity, we raised over $532,000. This unprecedented support ensures that our Jeff Masarek Behavioral Health Center, RAK PAK Clothing Closet and Domestic Abuse Program can continue to provide essential and high quality services. We were also privileged to honor the lasting legacy of Dr. Stanley and Pearl Goodman and share moving testimonials from Dr. Susan Manella and Robin Feinberg.

Following this momentum, we traveled to Tallahassee for Israel Day at the Capitol and Jewish Community Advocacy Day. Along with a dedicated delegation from Jewish Broward, we strengthened ties with Florida legislators and reaffirmed our commitment to supporting Israel, fighting antisemitism, taking care of our remaining Holocaust survivors and preserving Holocaust education for generations to come. The power of our collective voice was truly inspiring.

As Passover approaches, we reflect on the themes of resilience and freedom that this holiday represents. The story of Passover, with its message of overcoming adversity, resonates deeply with us here at Goodman JFS. We also continue to hold our remaining hostages in our hearts, envisioning a future as hopeful as the promise of Passover itself.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Goodman JFS, I wish you and your loved ones a happy and meaningful Passover. Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Randy Colman

Highlights and Happenings

This year’s Breaking the Silence, Building Resilience event was our most significant fundraiser to date. We are proud, inspired and motivated to keep going! A special and heartfelt thank you to our event Co-Chairs Ivy Feinstein, Dr. Susan Manella and Alan Masarek for their time and commitment.

To our guests, donors, dignitaries, community and corporate partners—thank you! Your support is invaluable and we simply could not do the work without you.
