Thank you to our friends, donors and community partners who joined us at our 61st Annual Meeting. Celebrating our impact together with you was truly a heartwarming experience.

This year, much like each of the ones before, we were presented with unique and notable challenges. Despite these trials, your unwavering support has allowed us to maintain an exceptional level of service to Broward County residents in need.
The personal narratives we heard from our clients served as a powerful reminder of our mission—to empower individuals, strengthen families and protect the vulnerable.

As we end of our fiscal year and set the stage for growth in 2023-2024, those stories of resilience continue to fuel our efforts. I am excited about the growth we’re experiencing, the positive change we’re driving, and most importantly, I am excited to share this journey side-by-side with all of you.

I wish you all a wonderful summer and safe travels wherever your adventures may take you.

Sincerely,
Randy Colman

Highlights and Happenings…
CARF Accreditation
After five years of preparing, we have proudly received our three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation and Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Receiving this accreditation is the gold standard for organizations such as ours and represents our commitment to improving services and quality, encouraging feedback and serving the community. This coveted seal of approval also provides us the opportunity to apply for additional funding.
Special recognition and appreciation go out to Jonathan Feliz, Womesh Saywack, Sandy Ala, Barbara Welte-Di Pietro, Dr. Allison Golden, Katherine Wentworth, the Behavioral Health team and all the staff who participated in the preparation for our survey.
Joshua’s Path BOOST Graduation
“We have had unforgettable opportunities to make new friends and learn so much together. We visited many great places and took part in some magnificent events. We have become stronger as we continue our journey and will surely use our new skills learned to boost our individual goals.
–Jasmin, BOOST graduate
In June, we were delighted to celebrate the accomplishments of the 2023 BOOST (Building On Our Strengths Together) class of Joshua's Path with a memorable graduation ceremony and brunch. It was a joy to individually honor each student with a medal, a certificate and well-deserved praise, reflecting their personal journey and growth throughout the program.
BOOST, a program designed to foster the development of interpersonal skills in neurodivergent adults, combines classroom instruction and hands-on learning, as well as allowing participants to explore potential avenues for employment and volunteerism.

The dedication, perseverance, and progress of our BOOST students is truly inspirational, and we are eager to see the positive impact they will undoubtedly make.
Girl Scout Troop 12304 donates to the RAK PAK
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Girl Scout Troop 12304 for their outstanding act of kindness and dedication to collect over 1,500 personal hygiene items and assemble 120 bags filled with essentials. Their hard work will make a significant difference to the individuals and families who benefit from our RAK PAK clothing pantry.
Parkland Cares
We are incredibly honored to have been chosen as one of the grant recipients from Parkland Cares. Their generous contribution of $30,000 is a significant endorsement of our mission to provide confidential, high-quality, mental health services and trauma care through the Jeff Masarek Behavioral Health Center of Goodman JFS.
Their support continues to empower our work and bring essential services to those in need. We are proud to offer quality care in three Broward locations including our newest office in Tamarac.
In GOOD Health
June was Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month and our very own Dr. Joshua Hernandez, PhD, LMFT, shared his thoughts on the important topic.
