Dear Friends,

At Goodman JFS, our work is ultimately about people. Those we serve, those who stand beside them and those who step forward to lead with compassion. Each story in this newsletter reflects how impact is created when care, innovation and community come together.

Our efforts strengthen the safety net for individuals and families across Broward County and remind us that progress is built through partnership. As we enter 2026, I invite you to stay connected and engaged as we continue keeping people at the center of everything we do.

Looking ahead, please save the date on March 19 for Breaking the Silence, Building Resilience, an impactful event dedicated to raising awareness and critical support for community members affected by trauma and crisis.

Thank you for being part of this work and for helping move our mission forward.

Sincerely,

Randy Colman

President & CEO

Highlights and Happenings

International Holocaust Remembrance Day, January 27

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the six million Jewish lives lost and honor the more than 220,000 survivors still living worldwide, including more than 600 served right here in Broward County. We are proud to stand alongside our survivors, helping them age with dignity by providing compassionate care, preserving independence and strengthening connection in their later years.

Read our latest Ask the Experts feature, with Randy Colman in conversation with Rami Spiegel, Assistant Director of our Holocaust Survivor Assistance Program, exploring what life looks like for Holocaust survivors today.

Spotlight: Sharri Gordon

“Every ‘thank you so much’ or ‘I am so grateful’ strengthens my connection to Goodman JFS and reminds me of my responsibility to give back.”

Joshua’s Path Disability Services Second Annual
Bowling & Pizza Fundraiser

Community members came together for a fun afternoon of bowling in support of Joshua’s Path Disability Services. Between laughter and friendly competition, the event celebrated inclusion while raising vital support for neurodivergent individuals and their families. Beyond the lanes, the gathering helped foster confidence, independence and meaningful connections that continue well after the final frame.

Corporate Philanthropy Partner Program

The Goodman JFS Corporate Philanthropy Partner Program brings local businesses into the heart of our mission by inviting them to serve alongside us. These partnerships are about giving back while showing up for individuals and families across Broward County in meaningful, tangible ways. We are grateful to the companies who have already joined us, setting an example of what’s possible when business and community work hand in hand.
