Important Deadlines Approaching: Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Program

The application deadline for TCC Round 5 is August 1, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PST.


Upcoming Important Dates 

  • June 16, 2023 - June 30, 2023: tribal applicants submit requests for modifications to TCC Round 5 requirements.

  • June 30, 2023: Final due date for Implementation Grant applicants’ submissions of information for greenhouse gas reduction calculations to Community Development Resource Group.

  • July 3, 2023: Final due date for each Planning and Project Development Grant applicant's submission of an Application Initiation Form.

  • July 11, 2023: Final due date for all unincorporated applicants’ submissions of local data to SGC for pre-approval.  


Interested applicants can access technical assistance by scheduling an Office Hours appointment. The TCC staff host Office Hours every Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.

Applications have a deadline of July 10, 2023, by 5:00 pm ET. Approximately $1.17 billion is available in the current funding cycle, with a maximum award of $25 million and a minimum of $100,000.


Transformative Climate Communities Program: Implementation Grant - Strategic Growth Council

Final applications are due August 1, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PST. Approximately $88.5 million is available.


Transformative Climate Communities Program: Project Development Grant - Strategic Growth Council

Applications have a deadline of August 1, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PST. Approximately $9.8 million is available.


Transformative Climate Communities Program: Planning Grant - Strategic Growth Council

Applications have a deadline of August 1, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PST. Approximately $900,000 is available.


Reconnecting Communities: Highways to Boulevards - California Department of Transportation

A call for projects will be announced in late Spring/Early Summer 2023, with applications due in late Summer/early Fall 2023. Approximately $149 million will be available in the upcoming funding cycle.

Affordable Housing Funding
Applications are currently being accepted, with a deadline of July 28, 2023. Approximately $736 million is available in the upcoming round.

Applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Loans have a maximum award of $13.95 million.
Parks - Regional Funding
Applications are accepted on a continuous basis through June 30, 2027.

Stormwater

Proposition 13: Water Recycling – Planning Grant - State Water Resources Control Board

Applications FY23-24 are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Approximately $17.3 million is available in the current opportunity, with a maximum award of $500,000.


Stormwater - Regional Funding

Measure AA Community Grants Program – San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority

Applications FY22-23 are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis, through June 30, 2023. $600,000 is available in the current opportunity, with a maximum award of $200,000.

Transit & Shared Mobility Funding

Tribal Transit Program - Federal Transit Administration

Applications have a deadline of June 26, 2023, by 11:59 pm ET. Approximately $8,9 million is available in the current funding cycle.


Hybrid & Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) - California Air Resource Board (CARB)

Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. $196.6 million is available for standard HVIP voucher requests.


Zero-Emission Transit, School, and Shuttle Buses – VW Environmental Mitigation Trust California Air Resource Board (CARB) & Valley Air District

Applications for shuttle and transit buses are currently being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. $130 million is available in the current funding round.

This program is funded by a grant made through the Transportation, Housing, and Land Use program of Resources Legacy Fund.
