The Barnabas Group is the only collaboration of leaders dedicated to maximizing ministry potential by meeting nonprofit challenges with business perspectives to advance Kingdom work .

But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent
you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf,
for in its welfare you will find your welfare.
J eremiah 29:7
Perhaps we're not exactly living in exile, but TRELLIS  ( www.wearetrellis.comtakes seriously God's instructions to the Israelites regarding engaging with the city where they live. Since 2011, Trellis has been collaborating with the City of Costa Mesa, local churches, businesses, and other non-profits to address problems of concern to all.

One example is the Community Impact Team (CIT). This transitional work program assists people experiencing homelessness to develop skills and reengage in the workforce. Team members have been vetted through weekly programs, are insured, and are accountable with a manager. They work in teams for mutual accountability, to learn more about teamwork and the relational dynamics needed to get back to work.

Having gained the respect of the community and civic leaders, Trellis sees the potential to grow the CIT program. But that requires gaining greater clarity on the revenue streams and other resource expectations of each business, government, non-profit, and individual partnering in this program.

So the BIG QUESTION Trellis is asking us to explore at this SWOT is:

How should Trellis go about creating the infrastructure and clarifying partner expectations to build a sustainable model for the Community Impact Team?
