You Matter We Care - Border.png

A heartfelt thanks to our educators and staff for doing an amazing job supporting and caring for students, families, and communities. Here are some bright spots from the funding OEA Choice Trust has provided throughout Oregon in response to these challenging times.

Tillamook School District

Tillamook School District has been offering healthy lunches for our staff on our once-a-month Friday professional development days. “Eating lunch with everyone else gets me motivated.”  “After having lunch together, I am ready to work.” “It was delicious, warm, tasty, and good. Thanks for taking good care of us!”

"On May 6, a group of faculty and staff met at Salish Ponds for a hike around the wetlands with avian expert Wally Shriner, mycologist Catherine Creech, natural resources expert Jason Pinkerton and geologist Daina Hardisty. The leaders pointed out local flora, fauna, and rocks, and the group enjoyed packed lunch beside West Salish pond. It was so nice to be able to enjoy the natural setting while talking and laughing with colleagues."

"The staff wellness program has been a true gift. It has encouraged us to be healthier. It has given us the time and a place to de-stress. It has allowed us to interact with each other in a different way and build deeper relationships. This program should be used as an example to show what a happier, healthier work environment can look like."
