Gifts of generosity and grace

You may give gifts, tithes, and offerings online below or mail in a check to Grace Community Christian Church. You are also invited to make a designated gift to support the transformative ministry of Reconciliation Ministries across the Christian Church in the United States and Canada on between 9.25.22 and 10.2.22.

Thank you for making space for Grace to be shared between, among, and beyond our walls. Your faithful tithes and offerings make a life changing difference.
--------------------------------------------------------------

We are a part of something BIGGER...than time, than ourselves, than darkness. We are a part of God's movement for wholeness as faithful stewards of God's limitless love.

Whether we share dollars, coins, kwatcha, francs, pesos or the currency of our time, talents, and service, we are invited to bring an offering today, to support this congregation, the work of Reconciliation ministrees, and the gifts of communion through our ministries throughout the world. We are the beloved God is waiting for.

From the smallest coin to the largest check, every gift is valued, appreciated and will be used to sustain the work of Christ in the world.

With generous hearts and open hands, let us share our offering.

Offering prayer

God of all good gifts, we’ve gathered to grow in faith, to share our voices and to offer our gifts. We’ve offered these gifts, grateful for all we’ve received from your hand. Receive this offering. Fill us once more with your Spirit, and help us spread the Table love known here to all we encounter in the coming days. Amen

Opening Prayer

Holy God, from all corners of earth, your people sing your praise and prepare to feast at your Table.  Thank you for the opportunity to share in worship with sisters and brothers from around the globe as we sing in different languages, eat varied types of bread, and share this joyful communion with believers of different ages, races, languages.  Gather us all into your loving embrace as we rejoice, sharing Christ’s love made visible in the loaf and in the cup. Amen
Prayers of the People

Singer of Songs: when we have lost
the melody of your hope, you reshape the notes of our hearts; when we can find no resting place, you are the lap that cradles us;
when we are held captive by our complaints,
you free us for praise.

Seed Planter, you only did what you ought to have done: traveling the empty roads of our world; listening to our midnight cries;  overtaking us to shoulder our burdens.

Spirit of Love, as you enter our hearts
to ease our loneliness: may we not forget
who our protector is; may we remember the faith which has been gifted to us; may we be stewards of the good treasure that is ours.

Spirit of Wholeness, guide, comfort, and provide for our siblings in Puerto Rico, Florida, Ukraine and Russia amidst the tides of recovery, devastation and community life, guide us as we pray the prayer Jesus taught us to pray: "Our Father, who art in Heaven..."
Scripture
Luke 17:5-10
5 The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!" 6 The Lord replied, "If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you. 7 "Who among you would say to your slave who has just come in from plowing or tending sheep in the field, 'Come here at once and take your place at the table'? 8 Would you not rather say to him, 'Prepare supper for me, put on your apron and serve me while I eat and drink; later you may eat and drink'? 9 Do you thank the slave for doing what was commanded? 10 So you also, when you have done all that you were ordered to do, say, 'We are worthless slaves; we have done only what we ought to have done!'"

Announcements
Eagle Scout Project: Noah Nabicht

Deep gratitude is extended to Noah Nabicht, Boy Scout, for the new prayer garden he planned and constructed on Saturday, September 10, as his Eagle Scout project. Special thanks are also extended to the members of BSA Troop 57 for their support and labor to help fulfill the vision. Seven burning bushes and three scripture reflection stones were planted in the garden.

Noah reflects, " I am reminded of the following scripture:
  • Exodus 3:1 (Burning Bush)
  • Genesis 1; 2:1-2 (The number 7 in scripture represents completeness - physical and divine perfection)

A time will be announced soon to gather with Noah and Troop 57 to bless and dedicate the prayer garden.
