Sharing Hope in Difficult Places

Dear Ministry Partners,

June was a month filled with many reasons to thank God for His faithfulness. Our area coordinators, teachers, and ministry leaders had valuable opportunities to fellowship with pastors, teachers, and families living in several remote refugee camps.

Pastor M, an Area Coordinator, and his Bible study group led an evangelistic outreach in three refugee camps and a prison, and provided a meal for those in attendance. As people heard the hope found in Jesus Christ and shared a meal, many committed their lives to Christ, and the Lord added to His church.

Pastor B, an Area Coordinator, continued traveling to remote villages each week, leading Bible studies through the curriculum one book at a time. As people learn how to read, understand, and apply God's Word, their hunger for Scripture continues to grow. Praise the Lord for this encouraging response.

God also opened the door for a Teachers Training Workshop (TTW) in southern Myanmar. Twenty-three pastors and local missionaries representing five church partners participated in the training. Through the workshop, they gained a renewed vision that one of a pastor's greatest responsibilities is to equip and train believers within their own congregations. We are thankful for their eagerness to begin using the CCI curriculum to strengthen their churches.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and generous partnership with CCI. Your support is helping equip pastors and church leaders to proclaim the gospel, strengthen local churches, and make disciples, even in some of Myanmar's most challenging places. We are grateful to serve together as God continues to transform lives through His Word.

Testimony

"I am a layperson and an uneducated person who never had a chance to study the Bible. I am so grateful to be part of a Bible study group led by my pastor. My pastor is so enthusiastic in teaching, and the Word equips us. We've finished two books now, and my heart is hungry for more; I'm so excited to continue with other books.

My study helps me see more of my past Christian life and clearly understand the need to seek God more, so that I can build a firm foundation in His Word. I also learned the importance of reading the Bible as a believer to protect my faith and do something great with the good news in my daily walk. I have found that it is profoundly worth studying the Word of God. Thank you to my pastor and my God."

Staff Update

Pastor T: He and his family are doing well, and he enjoys working the farm with his church family.

Pastor M: He and his family are doing well. He is also working hard on the farm to support his ministry.

Pastor Y: He and his family are well. He is visiting the community and meeting with village leaders to address needs.

Pastor Z: His family is doing well. Please pray for a speedy healing of his kidneys.

Pastor S: Please pray for the health and education of his three sons as they continue their studies in Thailand. He visited two churches in the province and shared the ministry with two Lahu pastors. They are interested in CCI training.

Pastor B: He and his family are well. He visited one class and taught one class. Students are doing well.

Prayer Requests & Praises

Praise Points:

We had a wonderful TTW with 23 participants from five ministry partners.
I attended a couple of leadership seminars, which helped me feel spiritually refreshed, and I also met friends to connect with the ministry.
My two children and my wife finally got visas to study in Thailand.

Prayer Points:

Pray that God will give the TTW-certified pastors good direction to start training classes in their own churches.
Pray for Pastor Z, an Area Coordinator in the northeastern region, who is suffering from kidney problems and was hospitalized for a week.
Keep praying for CCI Myanmar, our area coordinators, teachers, and students to have a deeper relationship with the Lord and continually serve and live in the communities. Pray also for their children's good health.
Please continue to pray for my children's education in Thailand and that their study expenses will be met.
Pray for my people on the border of India, who fled due to the recent attack.
