TEEN WRITING AND ART CHALLENGE EXTENDED
This event is meant to create a safe environment for teens to explore and discuss the impacts (both positive and negative) of common dynamics found in these experiences. The Writing and Art Challenge is open to all middle school and high school students who reside in Montgomery County. This includes students attending public school, private school, alternative education, homeschool, etc.
YOUNG HEARTS MATTER DAY @ THE CAPITAL!!
The Texas Council on Family Violence hosted its first Young Hearts Matter Day at the Capitol! We were honored that one of our Youth Advisory Council Members, who joined the YHM Board last year, was asked to speak and help coordinate the YHM days events! The Young Hearts Matter Board is comprised of High School students dedicated to using their voices to expand awareness regarding Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Teen Dating Violence. We are so proud of Vivian for her efforts!

Last month, long time supporters Angie & Danny Signorelli hosted a beautiful fundraiser for the Agency. “Outstanding In The Woods” was an exclusive dinner fundraiser curated by Chef Austin of TRIS.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who attended— we are proud to announce we raised over $100,000 and new van for our shelter was donated by these amazing couples:Elvira Graham & Lonny Soza, Mari & Larry Harvey and Anna & Bret Jensen.

Episode 19 - Echo Hutson - Crime Scene Today - Live on Lone Star Community Radio

Echo Hutson is the Chief Domestic Violence Prosecutor with the Montgomery County Texas District Attorney's Office. She is a leading expert in domestic violence cases and is progressive in her techniques for handling these violent cases. We will be discussing the trends in domestic violence and changes that have occurred over the years. Echo will discuss new techniques and programs to endeavor to obtain for victims the care they need and the justice they deserve by building strong cases.
Date night was last night and we went to see the new “Invisible Man”—- IT WAS GREAT!!! The remake is a perfectly crafted story of domestic violence and the terror that can come with gaslighting, emotional and mental abuse! (5 STARS)
