NOTES FROM LORI
We flew through the first month of 2020! Seems like I turned around and now it's February. The days are longer and I heard a rumor that spring may be around the corner. Thanks to all of the members who gave us tips to feature during January. We’ve enjoyed them so much that we are going to continue to ask everyone in our community to keep up the process and submit your tips (or your news) to us at
news@officenters.com and we will share in our newsletter and This Week at OffiCenter emails.
Today I am going to share a tip for you. My team is looking at ways to Keep it Fresh! I challenge you to look at your marketing and branding materials and take time to freshen your business look. Do you have a website that hasn’t been changed in a while? An old profile picture? How about your social media profiles? We are making an effort to freshen our look for the new decade. In fact, I hope you see changes in our Monthly and Weekly correspondence with our members. This newsletter has a fresh look, a new name and masthead. Our Community News is more in keeping with the focus of members and your businesses. And, try to take a look at it on your mobile device. It is amazing. We have changed the electronic signage in all of our workspaces to add animation and video. The new signs are from our member
RealEyes Displays and we are excited with the enhanced features. Do you want to see your business on the screens or promote a book, seminar or special? Ask us how you can use the screens in all of our 7 locations for marketing your business. Take time to evaluate your online and print images. Maybe you can do a few things to freshen your brand.
I am very excited to see all of you at our Member Appreciation event,
Wine and Chocolate on February 13
at International Plaza.
Register Now and bring plenty of business cards. This should be a great event where you can meet and greet our newest OffiCenters members.
Remember our theme for the year is Just Show Up! I am also attaching the YouTube video of the Lunch and Learn that was presented last week by me and Tim Voit. Get yourself into the workspace to make great connections and improve your bottom line. I know there is magic happening all around us. I hope to see all of you at our networking events this month.

Missed POWERLUNCH on January 30? Not to worry! You can watch the entire presentation right NOW on our You Tube channel.
If you have a topic that you'd like to present at a future PowerLunch email us your info to: news@officenters.com

Improvements Heading Our Way
Four of our buildings are going through updates and improvements as we speak. Here is a brief snapshot of what you can expect to see in the very near future:
Woodbury Office Center
- Construction on a new building in our parking lot continues. This spring the entire parking lot will be redone and the main lobby will get a fresh new look. Plus, a new key card front door & security cameras.
Edina Executive Plaza
- New bathrooms and building lobby and entrance will be the cherry on top of our newest location.
Park Place East
- Say good-bye to the building cafe and hello to FOODSBY and a new 24/7 mini market run by Canteen. More information will be coming on the changes in the next few weeks.
Bell Plaza
- For all of you workout warriors at France OffiCenter, check out the new fitness center!

Sheryl Hill on the Road to Recovery!
Sheryl Hill, Depart Smart Founder, resigned on December 6 and less than two weeks later had open heart surgery in for mitral valve replacement and ablation at Mayo Clinic. Since her resignation many members have asked how Sheryl is doing. So, we reached out to Sheryl and asked her for an update:
“ I kissed the face of mortality on 12/12 when my body survived on a heart lung machine for hours as my rheumatic heart was repaired during open heart surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. It is a Spiritual rebirth, a brand new second hand heart. A second chance at a stronger life. You push hard you pay. Patience. . . that virtue, can be hard. The great news is that my kidneys bounced back to normal, so did my lungs. My ticker clicks now. You can hear it standing by me. I am eternally grateful to have the best healthcare team in the world in our state #Mayo. I’m stronger daily on my 6-12 month journey to heal. Every ending is a new beginning. I have an Open Heart to what this chapter of my life brings.
I AM - WELL.
There are no words to describe how much you mean and have meant to my life. The community you have built is awe inspiring.”
