Featured Pets
"Silver" is a precious male Pit Bull that's about 2-3 years old and weighs 60lbs. He came to the Shelter after he was found at someone's home. He's a wonderful boy that loves attention and snuggles. He would do best in a home with no kitties. He is very excited with other dogs, so a more active and playful dog would be a good fit for him as he'd likely be too playful for a calm or older dog.

"Roo" is a funny NEUTERED male cat that's about 1-2 years old and weighs 12lbs. He came to the Shelter after he was found at someone's home. He's an active kitty that loves to play!

Help Keep Our County Beautiful
Did you know the County has litter tools available for anyone who has the desire to make their stretch of roadway clean again? Tools include orange garbage bags, bright orange vests, litter pickers, and road signs and are available at no charge. We do ask that the tools be returned to us for the next individual or group who wants to help clean up our county. Tools are available for pickup from the County Administration Building located at 180 Horse Landing Road. For more information or to pick up tools, please contact Cindy Hixenbaugh, Facilities Coordinator, at 804-769-4965.
