and of course, we need your trunks!
We are looking for volunteers to help set up the day of the event as well as volunteers to help run game booths and clean up as the event comes to a close.
Wristbands will be going on sale soon so be on the lookout.
Feel free to contact Trunk or Treat Coordinator
Paula Williams at pj_lvchic@yahoo.com
with questions or to volunteer for the event.

Third grade students are learning Google Apps during Tech Tuesdays. According to their survey, 50% of 3rd graders say math is their favorite subject.
Working on creating classroom community, our 4th graders got to know each other in a "sweet" way.
The last few weeks students have been learning and understanding why the sun rises and sets. In this mystery, students were asked, “Who set the first clock?” Be sure to ask your 5th grader about it!
As you may have imagined, our 6th grade duo of Mrs. Muetzel and Mr. Schmieg work hard at providing structures and routines that will help our Sharks make a smooth transition into junior high. What you might not know is that our math curriculum aligns with what they use at the junior highs. This is just one more way we help to make the transition easier for our Sharks.
Screenagers Viewing

Ever wonder what the impact of screen time is on your child? Interested in learning more about how growing up in the age of technology shapes your child's brain?

If so, join parents from across the district at the special screening of Screenagers at The Clark Center on Thursday, October 17th at 7:00.
A Message from the Principal
With shorter days and cooler weather upon us, fall is definitely in the air. While around your home fall may mean bringing out your pumpkins, fall means something different for us. Fall brings a sense of routine. Monday professional development has focused on a variety of topics including math, ALICE training, data analysis, and reading intervention. Our new "house" system is in full swing. Intervention and enrichment in literacy has started in 1st-3rd grade. Math intervention will start in this month for students in 3rd-6th grade. With our dedicated team and your ongoing support, it seems everything is "falling" into place. --Dr. Cervantez, NBCT
