11 am – 3 pm: All About Bees:
Find out what all the buzz is about! Beverly Bees' owner Anita Deeley will have an interactive exhibit about honey bees, as well as many bee products such as honey, candles beeswax, lip lotions, salves and more for sale.
12 pm to 2pm: Live music:
With Shades of Grey, a Civil War era camp band playing a mix of 19th century old time and campfire songs. The camp band was an integral part of camp life for a Civil War soldier.
3 pm – 5 pm: The Roots School Workshop - It’s All About the Birds, Bees, and Butterflies
This workshop* led by Jim Zoppo and bee expert Anita Deeley will focus on nature’s winged ambassadors, and their importance to our ecosystem and our gardens.
Anita Deeley is a biologist and owner/founder of Beverly Bees a beekeeping and bee removal company that helps people help bees. For many years Anita was a State Bee Inspector helping beekeepers keep their hives healthy and free from disease. She has been featured in numerous nation magazines and as well as maintaining about 100 hives, with her own stock of bees that she has developed from feral colonies and select mite resistance genetics.
