"She takes her blanket everywhere"

If you ever wonder how a blanket can make a difference in a child's life, please take a moment to read this kind note from Ariel's foster parents.

Ariel, our foster daughter, received an MVOB blanket recently; it was made by Monica. It was purple, Ariel’s favorite color. She takes it everywhere – doctor appointments, ride in the car, and to her foster Nana’s house.

I just wanted to say, “Thank you so much.” Your blanket means so much to a young girl who had nothing to call her own. She is so proud of the name tag. She shows it to everyone. Thanks for all that you do! We appreciate your kindness!
Our 2023 goal: Blankets for 35,000 Children in Foster Care

Together we can do it, one blanket at a time!

Fun Fact
My Very Own Blanket's mission has always been to keep blankets where they are made! We strive to support our Blanket Angel volunteers to give their donations to children in foster care in their area. Do you know someone affiliated with foster care? Please introduce us so we can support them as well.
SOUTH CAROLINA Blanket Angels donate to Horry County kids
Residents of the Edgewater Community in Horry County, South Carolina, combined with members of the First Baptist Church in N. Myrtle Beach to donate 18 crocheted and quilted blankets to the Horry County Dept. of Social Services.

Many thanks to these Blanket Angels.
Recycle with My Very Own Blanket!

From now until August 25, we will be collecting clean, recyclable plastic film and bags at our Westerville workshop. If we can collect at least 500 pounds of plastic refuse by August 25, our partner NexTrex will donate a FREE composite park bench to sit outside our international headquarters!

So far, our supporters have donated almost 105 pounds of plastic. Thank you!

Drop off your recyclable plastics donation anytime in the white donation bin in front of our workshop. Help the environment and help MVOB receive our "very own bench!"

Please limit your donation to these items. Thank you!
Volunteer Needed! Our friends are also collecting plastic for us at other locations.

Could you help us by picking up plastic from these places periodically and bringing it to our workshop?

If you can help, email or call 614-530-3327.
