OFFICE COORDINATOR

The Personnel Committee has accepted the resignation of Alissa Wells from the Office Coordinator position. We are grateful for the time Alissa has spent with us and the work she has done while here and we wish her Godspeed in her future endeavors. Have skincare needs? Visit Alissa at her at her skin care clinic, in Woodstock. Alissa's last day will be April 17.

The Personnel Committee is also pleased to announce that we have already filled the Office Coordinator position. We would like to welcome Michelle Provost to the role of GSLC Office Coordinator. Please welcome Michelle in her new role as a part of our staff. Michelle will initially work Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-3 from April 21 until May 22nd and will resume a Monday-Thursday schedule from 9-12 following the Memorial Day Holiday. The physical office will be closed on the Mondays following Easter until June 2nd, we can still be reached via phone or email.

A LITTLE NOTE ABOUT MICHELLE

Michelle has called Good Shepherd her church home since 2012. She most recently worked as a Teachers Assistant, and before that spent many years as a Receptionist and Human Resources Assistant at a large design firm in Atlanta. She has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Georgia State University. Michelle and her husband have two daughters who have grown up here at Good Shepherd. In her free time Michelle enjoys watching movies with her family, gardening, and playing with her cocker spaniel, Bingley.

Servant Schedule

FINAL MIDWEEK LENTEN SERVICE

We gather at noon and 7:30pm on Wednesday. Our service uses Vespers: A Service of Evening Prayer by Carla Gioma. Soup/salad meal begins at 6:30 PM.

Our Lenten offerings will be contributed to Inspiritus to help with their many efforts in dealing with refugee families.

A HUGE thank you to all who have contributed to the special music for our services. We averaged around 100 people attending each week on each of these services. We also want to thank the cooks for our soup and salad suppers this Lenten season. There have been lots of yummy soups and salads shared by many. Thank you also to those who have helped set up and clean up after these events. Your time is invaluable to all who have participated in this meal.

YARD SIGNS FOR EASTER

We have purchased 20 yard signs to advertise our worship services in your front yard. Each sign will cost $10. A sign-up sheet is posted in Fellowship Hall to place your reservation. Money is due at time of reservation. Please make any checks out to GSLC and put "YARD SIGN" in the memo line. Signs will be available for pick-up Palm Sunday. These are not dated so they can be used year after year. A great investment in evangelism for Good Shepherd.

FUNDRAISER FOR OUR INTERGENERATIONAL SERVICE TRIP - Only a few envelopes are left! Get yours on Sunday!

There are colorful envelopes posted in the Fellowship Hall in various denominations. If you are able, kindly take an envelope or two, fill them, and return them to GSLC - either in the offering plate, or place them in the gold slot next to the Bookkeeper's office. Funds raised will help offset costs for the planned intergenerational summer service trip taking place June 15 - 20th. Thank you for your support - we appreciate you!

AN ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITY

Unable to join our GSLC trip? Others from ELCA congregations in Metro Atlanta will be traveling to work at LutherRock from Wednesday May 28th to Saturday May 31st. This area experienced severe damage from Hurricane Helene and has to this point been underserved. If you're interested, please reach out to Mike Dooley for information about how to get involved. This trip is not being coordinated by GSLC but welcomes all adults to join.

THE LUTHERAN COALITION AND HABITAT BUILD

The Lutheran Coalition Website lutheranhabitat.org has been updated with the latest Habitat build information. Use the site for everything you need to know about the current build at 617 Hickory Nut Dr. in Canton and signing up for it.

HUNGER WALK 2025 RESULTS

The numbers are in and this year again proved to be a successful event for the recipients of our Hunger Walk Campaign. Although the weather was a little bit less than perfect, we had a great showing for our local walk and we got some exercise walking around our GSLC grounds. Throughout the campaign, we contributed carload after carload full of food to MUST Ministries, Timothy's Cupboard and Papa's Pantry and raised a little over $3,200 for the Atlanta Food Bank through your donations. Thank you to all who made donations of any kind and to the leaders Molly Maher and Gail Tverberg for the time and effort they have given to help make this be a huge blessing to our community.

We continue to collect the coin boxes for Carmel Elementary School to help with families that struggle with paying their lunch accounts and will report on those contributions at a later date. If you are returning your boxes you can leave them in the basket on the table in the Entryway.

THANKS BE TO GOD!
