COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS

GSLC CALL COMMITTEE NEWS

The Call Committee is working now on our search for a new pastor. If you have any questions, please ask us! We invite you into a conversation with as much information as we can give, understanding that some information must remain confidential. Look for our blue name tags.

Ask a committee member to share one of these yellow prayer cards with you. It is our hope that you will take these home and keep GSLC in your prayers as this process continues.

HAPPENING NOW

A HUGE THANK YOU to all the donators, painters and workers that have contributed time, talent or money to date to paint this past week. Almost everything has been cleaned and painted, a few things remain and rooms are being put back together. Please contact the office if you are still willing to lend a hand to this project as a few odd jobs remain and require assistance. This is a huge savings to the church’s bottom line, so thank you. If you were part of the help, please remember to pick up a T'shirt from Thrivent in the Meeting Room, multiple sizes are available.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HYMN OR PRAISE SONG?

This summer we will sing some of your favorite songs and hymns.

This week’s Favorite hymn or song, “Amazing Grace”, was selected by Patricia Mote and “Speaks to faith and forgiveness”. Find some additional commentary on this song in this Sunday's worship bulletin.

Handmade Card ministry at GSLC

ALL OCCASION cards are available, most for a suggested donation of $2.00 per card. All proceeds will support our Good Shepherd Youth Mission Trips. This ministry is being hosted by Molly Maher, Linda Rowell and Pam Hough. Thank you for your wonderful support of this GSLC ministry.

NEW CARDS are out this week. Look for our POCKET CARDS! Pocket cards have a card within a card. They also have space to insert money, checks, or gift cards. Look for them in the Fellowship Hall. Most of the cards for which we are receiving donations are “one of a kind” cards, making them special for anyone who receives one.

SUMMER HOURS

The church office has switched to "summer hours" through Monday, July 29. The office will have staff available "virtually" on Mondays and in-house staff Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The office will be closed this Thursday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.

JUST AHEAD

FINAL CALL for PEW TO PULPIT SERMON SERIES

For 5 weeks starting on July 28, Pastor Karen will preach a sermon series inspired by your questions. What have you, in the pew, wanted to hear discussed from the pulpit? Is there a particular question that intrigues you or a piece of scripture that you'd like to see addressed? As you feel called, fill out the form HERE and let us know your question and why the question is of interest. If there is a scripture reference, please include that too. We hope this will be an interesting interlude for all of us this summer and provides an even further connection between the pew and the pulpit.

Yarn Angels will meet at the home of Linda Rowell, on Monday, July 8th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
