The 10:45 AM Worship Service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page at facebook.com/gslcwoodstock/videos. Following the service, visit our YouTube channel for our recorded services.

Randomly placed in the bulletins you might find a piece of artwork. These were created by the youth attending our VBS program. They wanted to share their love and appreciation for you, our church family and this was a small token they could easily share.

COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS

GSLC CALL COMMITTEE NEWS

The Call Committee continues its work on the search for a new pastor. If you have any questions, please ask us! We invite you into a conversation with as much information as we can give, understanding that some information must remain confidential. Look for our blue name tags.

Ask a committee member to share one of these yellow prayer cards with you. It is our hope that you will take these home and keep GSLC in your prayers as this process continues.

HAPPENING NOW

A FEW THINGS REMAIN, BUT A HUGE THANK YOU to all the donators, painters and workers that have contributed time, talent or money to date to paint and clean up the education wing the past couple of weeks. A few things remain and that list can be found here and on the sign up board in the Entryway. This is a huge savings to the church’s bottom line, so thank you. If you were part of the help, please remember to pick up a T'shirt from Thrivent in the Meeting Room, multiple sizes are available.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HYMN OR PRAISE SONG?

This summer we will sing some of your favorite songs and hymns.

This week’s Favorite hymn or song, “Here I Am, Lord”, was selected by 2 different people. Barb Kidder says, “It is a powerful reminder that we are the instruments God used to do his work,” and Ruth Clark comments, “This is what I want to be remembered for. Hope it is played at my funeral.”  Find some additional commentary on this song in this Sunday's worship bulletin.

Handmade Card ministry at GSLC

ALL OCCASION cards are available, most for a suggested donation of $2.00 per card. All proceeds will support our Good Shepherd Youth Mission Trips. This ministry is being hosted by Molly Maher, Linda Rowell and Pam Hough. Thank you for your wonderful support of this GSLC ministry.

NEW CARDS are out this week. Look for our POCKET CARDS! Pocket cards have a card within a card. They also have space to insert money, checks, or gift cards. Look for them in the Fellowship Hall. Most of the cards for which we are receiving donations are “one of a kind” cards, making them special for anyone who receives one.

SUMMER HOURS

The church office has switched to "summer hours" through Monday, July 29. The office will have staff available "virtually" on Mondays and in-house staff Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

JUST AHEAD

Thank you for all the PEW to PULPIT submissions.

In the next Sheep Buzz, we will include a list of topics for our sermon topics for this series beginning on July 28th. So many great questions came in, so thank you for your responses.

GETTING READY FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL

Interested in being a part of the youth programs and helping drive their faith journey? Consider being a teacher for the 2024/25 Sunday School year! Duties would include: leading curriculum that is already printed and ready-to-go, being willing to answer questions (and being ok with not knowing all the answers!) and having a smiling face that the youth are excited to see each week. Even if you're just curious what this may entail, Mel is happy to send you more information. Questions? Email Mel at youthfamministry@gslutheran.org

Yarn Angels will meet at the home of Linda Rowell, on Monday, July 8th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

THEOLOGY ON TAP

Dates for July: we will meet at Hickory Flat Kitchen, Canton - July 10 & 24th

Topics change each time we meet so no need to worry about missing anything. As always, everyone is welcome to share some food, laughs, and open conversation in a safe, non-judgmental environment
