To Good Shepherd,

I was incredibly surprised when I walked into the Fellowship Hall this past Sunday morning to see it all decked out for Pastor Appreciation Sunday with a cake and balloons. Who knew Pastor Appreciation Sunday was a thing? Thank you for showering me with so many cards and kind words. I was touched as I spent Sunday afternoon reading card after card and reflecting on this wonderful congregation filled with loving, caring, giving, and Christ filled people. It is truly an honor and a privilege to spend time with you in ministry together. I give thanks for each of you!

Many blessings,

Pastor Karen

YOUTH AND FAMILY

Buy a ticket on Sundays and come to the show. Dinner is provided. $10/person.

News from the  SES Synod and ELCA

Connect with the ELCA and Southeastern Synod

  • Statement from Bishop Eaton: (October 13, 2023)

"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, from the words of my groaning?" —Psalm 22:1

Dear church,

As Lutherans, we are accustomed to holding tension between two truths. Thus the ELCA denounces the egregious acts of Hamas, acts that have led to unspeakable loss of life and hope. At the same time the ELCA denounces the indiscriminate retaliation of Israel against the Palestinian people, both Christian and Muslim. Read more...

OUTREACH

Do you love Halloween and want to help us reach out into the community? What a great way to share love for others, especially with young families.

WE NEED MORE CAR DECORATORS!

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining"!

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP TO DECORATE A CAR

If you can't decorate a car, consider putting on a friendly costume and help greet the children and pass out candy.

Join us, Oct 25th, at 6 PM, and enjoy a fun evening together with our neighbors.
