Welcome to the 2023 Sheetz Family 'Newzletter'! With our ever-growing family, we hope you find this newsletter a fun and easy way to help stay connected. With each edition, our goal is to share information on family news, upcoming events, brief surveys and provide a glimpse into what others are up to personally. Each family branch has an official 'Branch Champion' who are responsible for gathering updates that you would like to share. More information on the Branch Champions is included below. As always, feel free to share your feedback or suggestions.

In each edition of the newsletter, we will feature a Family MVP, or someone who deserves some extra recognition.

Our inaugural Family MVP is none other than Mr. Elliott Sheetz!

This year, Elliott was honored as the 2022 Goodwill Ambassador for Dreams Go On, a nonprofit therapeutic horseback riding organization local to Blair County. Last Month, Elliott - along with family and friends of the community - participated in the 16th annual Lehman Engineers Horse Trail Ride and Trail Walk to benefit this wonderful organization. Dreams Go On has been a part of Elliott’s life for over six years and he continues to challenge himself by riding different horses. Elliott’s favorite game is “leapfrog” on horseback. His goal is to ride on a more independent basis.

ESOP Increase Announced to Employees

A recent communication to all Sheetz employees was posted on our internal employee portal to share the good news that our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) grew by over 8%. Read More....

Philanthropy Update

Salvation Army - We 'adopted' 15 families this year for holiday gifts. Thanks to everyone who shopped, donated or dropped off gifts around the holidays.

We donated $88,300 as a collective family this year to help offset expenses and further funding for their homeless shelter.

New Edition

Caroline and Judd welcomed Henry John Lawrence Littleton on August 29, 2022. Congrats to Owen and Grace on their new baby brother!

Other Family Happenings.............

Just a reminder to cue the wedding bells! Miranda and Barret have set a date! The happy couple plan to wed over Mother’s Day Weekend 05.13.23 in Palmetto Bluff, SC.

Louie’s bunch kept tradition alive last summer with their 35th annual beach trip to Stone Harbor, NJ! With the adults outnumbered 8:10, this traveling circus enjoyed a week full of sun, sand and of course, Springer’s ice cream. Other tried and true favorites included games on the beach, hunting down the Fudgy Wudgy Man, “pool hopping” and multiple trips to the Bad Kitty toy store.

Jackie, Tony, Carter and Olivia added another puppy to the family (black and tan Cavalier King Charles) named Murphy pictured above with Olivia on her birthday (best bday gift)!! When Olivia isn't busy taking care of Murphy, she can be found horseback riding or heading to gymnastics and taekwondo (currently a red belt).

Carter, pictured below enjoying some nicer weather, started in the middle school classroom this year at Kennedy Krieger School and is in 6th grade. He enjoys attending his bowling league every Sunday!
