SEEDS June 24, 2020
It's nearly the end of June and due to the pandemic, we have been unable to hold our Sheffield Pride celebration. However, Old Parish Church and we, along with a dedicated group of high school students, will be making a loud proclamation until the end of the summer!
We hope that you see our wonderful new banner on the Sheffield Green very soon.
We are very proud of this little town we call home!

If you follow christtrinitychurch on Instagram, you already know that we have a wonderful new ramp by the back door. It truly looks like it has always been there. It will make getting into and especially, out of, the church soooo much easier!

Follow us on Instagram to be in-the-know and for the latest developments at Christ Trinity Church. There's a link at the bottom of this page.

Annual Parish Fair postponed until 2021
The big blue and white tent will not be going up this August! It's unfortunate that we are not able to safely hold our Annual Parish Fair this summer.
We are exploring fundraising alternatives and are looking for a volunteer to possibly coordinate online sales with an auction service. Please let us know if this is something you would like to develop.
A message from the Appalachian Trail Conservancy
Dear A.T. Hikers,
We at the Appalachian Trail Conservancy have a profound appreciation for the respect you have shown the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) and its broader community by staying off the Trail.

Our guidance for hikers is to postpone or cancel their A.T. hikes . We have convened a task force that is considering the safety and health of not only hikers, but volunteers, staff and nearby communities.

We appreciate your patience as the task force makes its determinations and the ATC works to protect the Trail itself so that it’s ready to receive visitors when it is safe for all to do so. We miss the Trail, too, and if we all continue to look out for our collective safety and health in this challenging time, we will hasten our return to the Trail we all love.

With sincerest gratitude,
The Appalachian Trail Conservancy Team

Our AT ministry is postponed until 2021.
Pastor Erik discusses July with Pastor Randy
We will be having online services at least until the end of July. The first two Sundays in July will be streamed right from here at Christ Trinity, much as it has been done since March.
For the last two Sundays in July, Pastor Erik and Kelly are going on vacation, so we have been invited to join Pastor Randy Wilburn in his streamed service from Trinity Lutheran Church in Brattleboro, Vermont. http://trinitybrattleboro.org/ As we get closer to that time, we will provide links to the services and their bulletins.

Leave yourself time to order the book.
The title says it all! We live in a changing world and, while this was written before our current pandemic situation, it is an exploration of the quiet courage God is calling forth from us in these times and as we emerge into a new church context. Join us for a conversation about assumptions that have shaped the church but no longer hold, about the temptations that keep us from moving forward with courage and about how we might move forward.

Two links to order a copy of the book:
From  Amazon

Please note:   this link will send you to my email    let me know if you are interested by July 5 ,  and I will send a ZOOM link!

On the Road
This week our Education for Ministry group read Samuel 1 and 2, comprising the stories of Samuel, Saul, and most importantly, David. Our discussion of the material led us to the conclusion that accepting that you have done something wrong puts you on the road to spiritual maturity. We distilled that notion by reflecting on the image of a kneeling figure.
