In memory of Shelby, the Drazan family together with Tex Sutton have established the Shelby Drazan Memorial Award. The selection of the recipient will be based on an individual that has displayed sportsmanship, integrity and passion in the show jumping arena, and in their community. The winning recipient will be awarded roundtrip air for one horse and equipment from Southern CA to Kentucky. Additionally, the Drazan family will provide $2,000 for entries to any 2020 “Indoors” medal class.

Interested candidates must be a 3’6” Junior Equitation Rider.

Applicants will be required to submit a written essay to be considered for the award. The subject of the essay should touch on personal contributions you have made in your community, school and or extracurricular activities. List any character traits that portray sportsmanship, integrity and passion. Please include your full name, address, e-mail address and phone number on the essay.
