Hello FFD Neighbors!
We received an update regarding the first step of this much larger project, and (as promised) wanted to share the available information with you all!
This first step is related to work that AES is doing. It's a little less tied to the road/drainage construction, and more so an opportunity for AES to do some much needed cosmetic work in our neighborhood.

What is the work you ask??
- AES will be replacing and relocating a few utility poles -
- There are 2 sections of work:
- Intersection of Shelby Street and Cottage Avenue
- Shelby Street, just south of Prospect (the block of the Theater Building)

Scheduled to begin Monday, July 14: the intersection of Shelby and Cottage

There will be lane adjustments in the northbound lane, with traffic control in place.

There will be no full road closure at this location.

Scheduled for Monday, July 21, there will be a one-day closure of the northbound lane on Shelby Street between Morris and Prospect streets.
- Traffic control will be on site for the detour and to help maintain sidewalk access.
- Monday was selected based on input that nearby businesses tend to see little activity before 4 p.m.
- IndyGo has been notified of the traffic changes.

Dates are subject to change depending on weather and AES Indiana’s storm response needs (there are storms in the forecast for this weekend and next)
