Pioneer Award

Congratulations to Joann Bjornson, CEO of Family Promise of Morris County, for receiving the Pioneer Award from Table of Hope! Joann was a founding member of Table of Hope and was honored to receive the award. In Joann's words, "It encompasses everything I believe in and am passionate about. Being creative to address needs, being unafraid to shift when needed, and moving to action with partners to build systems change."

Over time, our agencies have problem solved, overcome barriers, and expanded access to vital services for those facing homelessness, housing insecurity, and food insecurity in our community. We truly are better together!

A special thank-you to Spring Street Community Development Corporation's Table of Hope for their impactful work in our community!

A New Home for Kamilah and Family

Kamilah* never thought she and her little son Jack* would temporarily live in a shelter program, and she was quite nervous and unsure of the journey ahead after joining Family Promise. With a caring and reassuring case manager working alongside Kamilah, the family settled into the Shelter Program and began the housing process. After months of hard work, Kamilah was ecstatic to receive the news of a new home for her family.

Our Making Moves Matter team put their magic touch on the family's new space and welcomed them home! Kamilah and Jack are thrilled to start another new journey full of hope and joy!
