June 2019 Newsletter
It's TBT for Shelter Graduates Anaija & Jasmine!
Looking back: Anaija and Jasmine entered Family Promise's shelter program years ago as two young girls, ages 8 and 9, unsure of where life's path was taking them. According to their mom, because they had been through much hardship and upheaval, they were both very shy and quiet.
While in Family Promise's shelter program and with the help and kindness of many volunteers, Anaija and Jasmine slowly came out of their shells and became comfortable in their new environment and with their new journey toward independence.
Currently: Fast forward seven years and both girls are thriving at home in a stable, loving family environment that has afforded them opportunities to grow on both the inside and the outside. Anaija has a love and talent for singing, and Jasmine is a passionate and creative artist.

Congratulations to both girls on their success, strength and perseverance!

Thank you Goldman Sachs!

Many hard-working Goldman Sachs employees came out to Family Promise's Day Center to clean, organize donations, and add some beautiful touches to our gardens and yard. Even some outdoor furniture got a fresh coat of paint! Thank you all for your hard work and fun camaraderie! Your efforts help show respect to our shelter guests as they enjoy the outdoor areas and clean indoor environment!

Thank you to all who came out to our Friendraiser event this month! It was great to share with you the latest on Family Promise's exciting new programs and upcoming community projects.

We had the honor of hearing the success stories of Rachel and Aloha, two graduates from our shelter program. Rachel now works full time and is hoping to return to college to attain her degree when financially able. Aloha has a Social Work degree and works with disabled veterans, is a motivational speaker, and is a homeowner! With the support from donors and volunteers, these amazing women were able to achieve their goals!
