Over the years, many things have sustained our guests at the Rescue Mission. Food, shelter, and medical care to just name a few. While all these are critical, one rises above the rest. Prayer. Prayer gives our guests what no food or bed can. Prayer gives them hope, happiness, and a connection to God that cannot be matched by any worldly item. 

This month, we have an invitation for you. Join us in prayer throughout the month praying for our guests, and our staff here at the Mission. Support the Rescue Mission by donating a Sunday's tithe or by hosting a food drive for the Rescue Mission pantry.

Most importantly, on May 15th, join us for a prayer with our guests.

Shelter Sundays at the Mission:

We have so many ways that your church can get involved at the Rescue Mission. All are important in their own way. Join us if you can!

Praying with our guests, for our guests...

If you have ever wondered "What are some ways I can help at the Mission?" or "What are some ways my church can help at the Mission?" we have an answer for you! The good news about this answer is that you may not have to travel at all! We are asking churches in the month of May to pray for our guests, to speak in support of the Rescue Mission, and spread the word about the critical need of God in the lives of those we serve. 

Prayer:

• Pray on May 15th: Pray with our guests! We will have a special message for each participating church to play at their service so the congregation can pray with our guests. Please email us if your church expects to participate. You will receive and email of a link to play and a description of what to expect. 
• Pray throughout May: Pray on any Sunday in the month of May for our guests. You can mention the Rescue Mission guests during prayer at your service, or place a prayer call in your church bulletin.

Volunteer/ Food Drive:

• Volunteer in one of many departments of the Rescue Mission during the month of May! Your church can volunteer in guest facing roles or in more behind the scenes but still critical roles. Your church can also help the Rescue Mission by collecting food for a food drive during the month. This food will go to families in need all Either way, we will find a great spot for you! • This is where you can do all the hard work away from the Rescue Mission! As you are out and about, talk about what we do. As you read this email, consider forwarding it to a friend.
