The Community Shelter is continuing its 24-hour service to people experiencing hunger and homelessness in Union County.
We have temporarily modified procedures with guidance from health and other authorities. Our goal is to provide full service to clients while trying to keep everyone safe.
That’s difficult to do with an onsite-population of up to 90 residential clients plus staff and off-site meal clients.
We currently are at residential capacity with a waiting list.
“I am so proud of the staff,” says Kathy Bragg, CEO. “Everyone is giving tremendous effort in this unusual time. Due to volunteer cancellations, many are working extended hours and in areas outside their job descriptions. And they’re doing that enthusiastically."
