And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Colossians 3:15 (NKJV)

Let Us Give Thanks...
Dear Heavenly Father,

We have so many concerns to bring to You today, but first, we pause in this moment to say “Thank You!” Thank You for the Light you sent into the world to bring peace to all people. Thank You for friends and family and people who serve us so selflessly. Thank You for the joyful anticipation of the Advent season. Thank You for the feasts we will share together and for those who will be preparing our food. Thank You for the people who bring joy into our lives.

We ask for Your grace to be bestowed abundantly upon us all, especially upon those we love, and those who are facing difficult situations.

We remember the homeless and ask You to shelter them and keep them warm;
We remember those who are lost, and pray You guide them to the place where they can be found;
We remember the abandoned, and ask that You draw near to them;
We remember the children who are hurting, and ask for Your intervention on their behalf;
We remember the sick, and ask You to bring healing to their bodies and souls;
We remember those who are no longer with us, and ask You to help us bear the grief while finding comfort in memories of the good times we shared;
We remember our blessings and thank You for all the good we have received from Your hand.

Lord, we are grateful people, humbled by Your goodness and encouraged by Your Word. Receive our thanks and grant these petitions through Your abundant love and amazing grace. In Jesus’ name, we pray, AMEN.

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Greeting in the name of Jesus! As the manager of the Global Food Initiative for the Church of the Brethren, I wish to offer my sincere appreciation for your generous outpouring of love through your district conference offering. Your gift of $4,639.00 will go to support the Soil Conservation, Reforestation and income generation project of Eglise des Freres d’Haiti (Church of the Brethren Haiti).

The political situation is quite fragile in Haiti right now, so your prayers are welcomed. God is working through the members of Eglise Freres to share the Good News of Jesus with their neighbors through both word and deed.

May the Lord bless you richly for your love and concern for those in need!

In Christ’s Hope & Peace
Jeff Boshart
