Thank You for your donations to Veterans from “Every Third Saturday“.
Faith is the keystone to everything done at Every Third Saturday and will always be our bedrock. Modern medicine can treat the physical injuries a vet sustains in service, psychiatry can assist with the emotional difficulties, such as PTSD, depression, and anxiety, but we believe that the wounds to the soul many veterans struggle with cannot be healed without divine intervention and a belief that we are all here for a purpose.

This year our Lenten Offering will go to Ralph Reeder Food Shelf. Our goal for monetary donations is $10,000. Ralph Reeder is also in desperate need of in-kind giving due to supply chain issues.

Pick up a bag in the Narthex to bring your donations back and/or encourage your church group to do a drive!

Items needed most are:
  • cold cereal (sweetened and unsweetened)
  • 100% juice (plastic bottles only)
  • crackers
  • meals (stew, chili, ravioli, spaghetti, etc)

We also need volunteers who can run the collected items over to Ralph Reeder during Lent. Contact staff to volunteer.
Beginning March 9 at 6:45pm the Choir will be having rehearsals. Contact Jean for further information.
Lenten Donut Time Forum: In connection with our Lenten Focus “Disconnected: The Colors of our Sin” and our continued commitment to explore and expand our welcome, Let’s Talk About Race.
Let’s Talk About Race will be a five week forum on Sundays March 6-April 3 during the Donut Hour in a section of Shepherd’s Hall, as well as, some intentional connected conversation opportunities via our Facebook Group “Shepherd Shoreview Community.”
All of this learning and discussion will be based on the Study Guide for ELCA Declaration to People of African Descent developed by the ELCA Racial Justice Team.
Materials will be available online and in the   Narthex beginning February 6th. Contact Sister Tashina with any questions.
Beginning Sunday, March 7th we have changed our facemask policy. Masks are optional/recommended for worship services and throughout the building.

There is also a mask-required section in the sanctuary (closest to the PrayGround/Choir area). Masks will be required for all those over the age of 2 in this section of the sanctuary.
