Here's a little education on why we can't live without our Idaho Spuds every year, and how we keep them good through the winter.
There's nothing better than a freshly harvested, dirt still on, Idaho Spud!!!
Are you a little bit worried about buying a 50 lb bag?
You can buy 2 or 3 or more!!!
Truly, after you taste them it's hard to go back to grocery store potatoes--so get enough to last you through the winter!
These potatoes last through the winter in 'cold' storage---that is, as cold as you can get it, without letting them freeze!! 
We've found that storing them in a plastic garbage container, or plastic tote, in sawdust, really helps their longevity, and lets you store them in an environment colder than your cold storage. 
We will have Sawdust available for sale with the Spuds!!
The sawdust insulates the potatoes should the weather in your garage dip below freezing, although that is unlikely.  
 It also helps if one potato goes bad, it won't affect the rest of the potatoes, just the sawdust around it!
Here's what you can expect in storing potatoes longterm:  Reds will last through the holidays, Yukons into Jan/Feb, Shepody, Alturas and Russets as long as it is cold!  
 Remember, these are Seed Potatoes, (a higher quality of spud!) so if they start to get eyes you can always plant them in your garden next spring!

Onions from Idaho!!
Again, we get these from a farmer north of Boise and they're amazing onions.
These farmers cure their onions for long term storage, so they, too, should last well into the winter.
These DO NOT store well in sawdust!!!
They prefer to be hung up in their original bag, off the ground, in cold storage----not too cold!
Stringing them up in old nylons with knots tied between them works, too!
