Partnering with doctors from Dynamic Essentials (DE), Dr. Cordero gathered students, faculty and staff at his home on July 14 to bring the philosophy and a bit of the “DE experience” to Spartanburg.
More than 100 students, faculty and staff attended the event, despite the threat of bad weather and a brief storm, to get “fired up” about chiropractic and philosophy. Dr. Paula Hedglon served as emcee and a speaker; Dr. Ryan Dopps, Dr. Tim Warner and Dr. Brian Lieberman also spoke at the event.

Transforming Chiropractic Education with the iSherman Initiative
Sherman is the only chiropractic college giving all students and faculty members iPads and access to the latest technology to transform the curriculum and enhance teaching and learning. The college rolled out its Apple initiative last year, iSherman, and this year it’s in full play. By the end of this year, every student on campus will have an iPad – fully loaded with everything from syllabi to e-books, at no additional tuition cost. Read more.
"This initiative provides students with the opportunity to transition away from some of the typical lecture-focused instruction to focus more on the application of the course content," says Director of Teaching and Learning, Billie Harrington, Ph.D. “That improves the learning experience for all of our students." We appreciate your support of our innovative programs and services.

Sherman College is teaming up with Michael Hall, D.C., FIACN for a seven-hour CE course, The Neurologic Screen on August 5, 2017, on campus. This seminar will provide understanding and demonstration of functional neurologic procedures that can be performed by the chiropractor to aid in analysis, diagnosis and patient outcomes. Doctors will gain a better understanding of what the “upper motor neuron” and “lower motor neuron” look like in clinical practice, the “top ten” tests to be used in every day practice; will be able to get engaged in the process of applying scientific literature to the chiropractic analysis; and will have fun with interpreting where there is “interference in function” of the nervous system and how to address subluxation of the spine.
