Over her 34-year career, she was twice appointed by the Louisiana Supreme Court to preside as judge pro tem in Orleans Parish Civil District Court where she also litigated high-stakes jury and bench trials.

The Good Work Continues for Working New Orleanians
Sheryl enjoyed meeting Jordan Bridges, Organizing Director for the New Orleans Workers’ Center for Racial Justice. This nonprofit puts our working community first by fighting for the rights of Black and immigrant workers.

Sheryl Lifted Up Her Voice at the Franklin Avenue Baptist Church Women's Chorus Fellowship
Sheryl enjoyed inspiring words, prayers, songs, a delicious brunch, and spending the morning with her amazing choir members.

Sheryl enjoyed live music and meeting Chamber members and guests in the beautiful Doerr Furniture showroom.

Sheryl Donated Blood at the Mid-City Community Blood Drive
Sheryl made her regular quarterly blood donation at St. Vincent's Adult Center on Canal Street. She began donating in 2007 and became a regular donor in 2018. Sheryl later learned that her blood is a match for people living with sickle cell anemia, and she encourages others to donate blood to help save lives.

There’s Always Time for Laughter and Inspiration
Sheryl joined in the healing power of laughter at Inspire NOLA’s Night of Comedy, Love & Laughter to celebrate teachers, administrators, counselors, maintenance and cafeteria staff, and security officers. It truly takes a village to positively impact the lives of our local students. Sheryl congratulates Inspire NOLA and their hard work to make a difference in our city!

Sheryl was honored to attend the Orleans Parish Democratic Executive Committee (OPDEC)’s evening event in August, full of civic engagement, community building, and fellowship.

Fancy Hats and Line Dancing Dancing with NORD
Sheryl also learned a thing or two at the Senior Boots on the Ground Event! She had a great time watching our seniors learn new line dances and enjoy themselves. Congratulations to the NORD Commission on an excellent event!
