Academy Announces 39 songs in contention for Best Original Song
Info
We're really excited to announce that our single "Pop," written by lead singer John Duffy and featured on the soundtrack of the John Gray film "White Irish Drinkers," is one of 39 songs in the running for a Best Original Song nomination by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' annual Academy Awards.

We were already incredibly fortunate (and grateful to John Gray and Melissa Peltier for taking a chance on us) to be involved with such an amazing film.  Stephen Lang's performance still gives us chills and you can't beat the ending!  We're now even more blown away and humbled to have Academy voters listening to our music alongside Elton John, Mary J. Blige, Chris Cornell, and Lady Gaga, not to mention the Muppets!  That said, we're proud of our song and are confident it will stand out.  Indie music from indie films don't typically get nominated, but we'll keep our fingers crossed...

Partly as a result of exposure from the film we've now had over 20,000 views on youtube.com, and have fans on our Facebook page from over 50 countries (one of whom was the SF Giants' Brian Wilson!).  If you haven't checked it out yet, please do!

Thanks again for all your support.  If you haven't seen the movie yet, please do, it's awesome!  Coincidentally CDs and DVDs are the perfect size to fit inside Christmas stockings :)...
