Volume 4 | December 2025

Your December News & Updates

As winter settles in, it becomes more important than ever to stay active, engaged, and connected to your community.

At Rangeley Health and Wellness, our fitness center offers a warm, welcoming space to keep your body moving and your spirits high throughout the colder months. With a wide variety of group classes, personal training options, and experienced massage therapists on staff to ease your body and mind of any discomfort, there are plenty of ways to stay motivated, supported, and well this season.

Know Your Numbers:

The Importance of Regular Blood Pressure Checks

Checking your blood pressure regularly is a simple yet powerful step toward protecting your long-term health. High blood pressure often has no noticeable symptoms, so many people may not realize they have an elevated reading until complications arise.

Even if your blood pressure has always been normal, periodic checks can provide peace of mind and help you track changes over time. Early detection allows you to make lifestyle adjustments or seek medical guidance before more serious issues develop, supporting your overall wellness and giving you confidence in your heart and vascular health.

Medication Take Back Day will also be taking place on December 12th!

Healthy Community Coalition will also be offering a safe and responsible way to dispose of any unused or expired medications during the blood pressure clinic.

In addition to collection of unused meds, their dedicated staff will be on site to help you learn simple, effective ways to organize your medications at home.

Whether you’re looking to reduce clutter, stay on track with daily doses, or improve overall safety, these tips and tools will make the process easier!

RHW's Thanksgiving Food Drive was an undeniable success!

A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our Thanksgiving Day Food Drive.

Because of your generosity, we were able to provide more than 40 people with a delicious holiday meal — turkey, fresh produce, and all the fixings included.

Any excess donations that could not be used for our meal kits were passed along to Rangeley Lakes Regional School’s food drive, ensuring nothing went to waste and even more families were supported. Your kindness brought warmth, comfort, and a little extra cheer to our community, and we are truly grateful for your support!

Reimagine Your Recovery:

Therapy Pool Renovation Almost Complete

We are thrilled to announce that our Therapy Pool is in the final stages of renovation! We sincerely thank all of our members for their patience over the past few months while the pool has been closed.

Your understanding has made it possible for us to bring this exciting upgrade to life.

In 2026, our Therapy Pool will feature a new salt water system, offering a healthier and more enjoyable experience compared to traditional chemically treated pools. Salt water pools are gentler on the skin, eyes, and hair, and they can reduce irritation often caused by chlorine. The natural salt content also has therapeutic properties, helping to relax muscles, ease joint discomfort, and promote overall wellness—perfect for rehabilitation, recovery, and low-impact exercise.

We are excited to welcome you back to enjoy the enhanced benefits of our salt water Therapy Pool, providing a safer, more comfortable, and more effective environment to support your health and fitness goals.

Stay tuned for the official reopening date!

It’s okay if you missed Giving Tuesday this year!

You still have an opportunity to support Rangeley Health and Wellness this year through our Annual Spirit of Giving Campaign.

Every gift helps us provide essential programs, services, and community support — and this year, your generosity can help light up our community Tree of Health in the Fitness Center.

A $10 donation adds a shining light to the tree, and a $100 donation adds an entire string of lights - with each light placed in memory of a loved one.

Let’s make our Tree of Health shine bright together!

Until next time, we appreciate you being a part of the Rangeley Health and Wellness family. Together, we’re making our community healthier, stronger, and more connected—one step, one smile, and one act of kindness at a time.

Wishing you a happy and healthy holiday season!

Take care,

The Rangeley Health and Wellness Team
