Music is at the heart of Jewish life — it connects us across generations and communities. This November, we have a unique opportunity to gather for a one-of-a-kind concert.
On Thursday, November 13 at 7:00pm ET, Congregation Rodeph Sholom in New York City will present the Hootenanny — an unforgettable night of Jewish music, camp spirit and community, benefitting URJ Eisner and Crane Lake Camps.
This extraordinary concert will feature some of the biggest names in Jewish music: Elana Arian, Noah Aronson, Michelle Citrin, Dan Freelander, Alan Goodis, Jeff Klepper, Jacob “Spike” Kraus, Joanie Leeds, Naomi Less, Dan Nichols and Julie Silver.
Shir Shalom is proud to be a sponsor of this incredible event and to help bring the spirit of Jewish music and camp to our wider community. We'll send a link to you the week before the concert for you to stream the concert from your home.
Don’t miss this chance to raise your voice in celebration — supporting the camps we love and the future of Jewish music.
Quotes from a Shir Shalom parent and two Shir Shalom campers in praise of URJ Eisner Camp:
A Shir Shalom parent, Stephanie Shaftman, says: “Eisner has given our children a community to belong to and flourish in. They learn about Reform Judaism and use the teachings in their every day lives. I can say with certainty it’s the single most important and impactful opportunity we have ever given them."
Vivienne Shaftman, a Camp Eisner camper, says "Eisner has taught me life lessons that I can apply to my future and it has brought lots of great people into my life like my best friend Shoshana. Eisner has also taught me what it means to be a true Jew and what Jewish culture is all about. It has inspired me to follow in my brothers footsteps and become a Bat Mitzvah."
Zach Lambourne, a Camp Eisner camper says: "To me, Eisner camp was all about connecting with my Jewish identity, and discovering what being a Jew truly meant to me."
