The NTM team had a blast (pun intended) at MPMA’s 13th Annual Shoot for Scholarships event at the Minnesota Horse & Hunt Club! This year’s event was the largest ever, filled with friendly competition, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to supporting the future of the manufacturing industry.



Although our team didn’t place in the top spots (we were close!), we were thrilled to participate in this incredible event. All funds raised will go directly to the MPMA Education Foundation, which provides scholarships for students pursuing careers in manufacturing and the trades. The Foundation also helps equip schools in the Twin Cities area with much-needed machinery and manufacturing equipment, empowering the next generation of skilled workers.

Recently, NTM’s President, Barb Dorumsgaard, joined an insightful panel discussion on the future of manufacturing, hosted by Ramsey County Workforce Solutions as part of Minnesota Manufacturing Month.

The conversation highlighted the challenges faced by potential employees and how leaders in the industry can offer solutions to break down these barriers. It was a productive exchange on the importance of training, mentorship, and collaboration in building a strong workforce for the future.

A big thank you to Ramsey County Workforce Solutions and the St. Paul Rondo Public Library for hosting such an impactful event! Special thanks to moderator Myrika Schneider and fellow panelists Sarah Martinez of KeyTronic and Nancy Lien Berndt of Modern Manufacturing and Engineering.
