SHOOTER JENNINGS IN FENDER "DAY IN THE STUDIO" VIDEO
FEATURING THE NEW AMERICAN ACOUSTASONIC GUITAR - WATCH
Fender announces the first installment of a new video series featuring the world’s leading producers diving into the songwriting and recording process with a spotlight on the American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster guitar. In the first episode of this YouTube series, In The Studio with Shooter Jennings, Fender takes viewers on an exclusive behind-the-scenes journey with Shooter Jennings, a highly sought-after producer who has worked with the likes of Brandi Carlile, Tanya Tucker, Duff McKagan, and American Aquarium.

The new series offers a unique perspective on some of music's most esteemed artists as they bare their souls in a raw look at their songwriting process utilizing a guitar that’s part of the innovative American Acoustasonic. The story follows Jennings starting with a simple chord progression on his American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster before he steps behind the boards to pass off guitar duties to John Schreffler, who is also playing an Acoustasonic Jazzmaster. What follows is an in-depth look at what it takes to turn an idea into a jam session, and then take that jam and shape it into a fully realized song with radio-play potential.

About Shooter Jennings:
For nearly two decades, Shooter Jennings has defied expectations while constantly expanding the parameters of country, rock ‘n’ roll, and beyond. The scion of American music royalty, he has affirmed his own place as a truly limitless artist whose ambitious experimentation spans myriad genres and creative platforms, from releasing eight solo LPs, countless EPs and founding his own label and multimedia outlet, Black Country Rock, to hosting his “Shooter Jennings’ Electric Rodeo” on Sirius XM’s Outlaw Country channel and the creation of acclaimed BBS Door games. Jennings found time to hone his production skills by helming sessions from such iconic artists as Jamey Johnson, Wanda Jackson, Billy Ray Cyrus, Tanya Tucker, and his mom, Jessi Colter. 2018 saw him team up with longtime collaborator, 6x GRAMMY® Award-winner Dave Cobb, to co-produce Brandi Carlile’s critically hailed By The Way, I Forgive You. The album proved a landmark release, earning worldwide accolades and the 2019 GRAMMY® Award for “Best Americana Album.” The Jennings-produced Tanya Tucker album from 2020, While I'm Livin', garnered the country legend her first two Grammy wins ever for "Best Country Album" and "Best Country Song."
