Before we get to the important stuff, like the winners’ names from the Shop Hop, Murfee wanted to be first on the agenda. He wants everyone to know that he is now FIVE. He has a way of reminding me daily that he’s now five, and I think that’s important to him since he believed that he would never make it to three, much less five. He was so active, so head-strong, so hearing selective, did I mention a tad stubborn?, so wanting to catch rabbits and birds, so much of a digger in all the wrong places, so much of a ruler-wanna-be, and so much of a “I wanna slobber all over Mom’s pillow” kid that it probably is amazing that he made it to five! But here we are: growing older with absolutely no changes in him. Lucky me!?!?! It’s going to be an interesting year, that’s for sure, since Katie Irish/golden started to slow down as she turned five, and Murfee so enjoys running circles around her and sometimes running her over, and if he does start to slow down, well, you know how the saying goes about paybacks!!! We’ll see.

We sent out a special notice of a beautiful wall hanging landscape quilt class coming Nov. 5. It’s titled Landscape: Saguaro Sunset, designed and taught by Lisa Coulombe. Lisa is a new instructor with us, so let’s give her a warm welcome! The class on Tuesday is from 9:30-4, and it will hopefully inspire you to make more and grow your landscape collection. And you realize that when these two classes take place, we’re in the month of NOVEMBER, right??? The holidays are approaching fast, and the days are numbered…….  Hope to see you soon.
